Not intuitive? Then you need this…
Hello dear Soul,
In today’s journal entry I talk about why people who don’t use the cognitive function of intuition as their main perception function (as opposed to sensing) should learn about the personality type framework.
Because our society consists of a majority of sensors (70%), it means that that function is most understood. This can leave intuitives (30% of the population) feeling misunderstood and out of sync with the world. So when sensing types learn about how intuitive types perceive the world, it can help them to better understand and love their intuitive friends and family.
How do you know if someone in your life is an intuitive type? Let me give you a very brief overview. There are two types of intuitive perception, extroverted (Ne) and introverted (Ni). Extroverted intuition (Ne) is all about exploration, possibility, potential, brainstorming ideas, patterns and what could be. Introverted intuition (Ni) is all about perspectives, symbols, metaphors, underlying connections, future implications, predictions and foreseeing, big picture vision. Ne is broad and Ni is deep and focused.
These two functions can be quite mysterious and sometimes hard to express (especially introverted intuition), but it’s always much easier to be themselves, when they feel like those around them are working to understand that side of them.
So, I would invite you to learn about personality type so that you can get to know yourself and those around you in a deeper way. Love is understanding.
Let me know if this was helpful to you in the comments below :)
Blessings,
Kate
