What’s the quality of your money?
Hello dear Soul,
In today’s journal entry I share some thoughts about Ken Honda’s book “Happy Money: The Japanese Art of Making Peace with Your Money”.
In today’s world there is so much fear and anxiety about money. In my life I’m working on shifting my story about money. When it comes to money we exclusively talk about quantity, but Ken Honda’s book helps us to think about the quality of our money. Just like we should be thinking about the quality of the food we put in our bodies, we should also be talking about the quality of our money.
While we don’t always have a choice about the amount of money coming (the quantity), we do have a choice about the energy with which we give and receive our money (the quality).
Money circulated with love, care, and friendship is happy money. It makes us smile, feel loved and deeply cared for. It’s an active form of love.
Money circulated in frustration, anger, sadness and despair is unhappy money. This money is begrudgingly used to pay for rent, bills and taxes. It makes people stressed, desperate, aggravated, depressed and sometimes even violent. So when we are dealing with unhappy money it deprives us of our dignity, self-esteem and gentleness of heart.
When we focus on making our money happy, we will find that the amount of stress and anxiety in our life will be alleviated. We will reclaim so much psychic energy which can then be used in other more positive ways.
So let’s review our money transactions to see if they are happy, and if not, let’s make a shift!
Wishing you much happy money,
Kate
