Dear precious soul, the real reason you hide your true self and don’t show up authentically in the world is simpler and bigger than you think: it all comes down to one ultimate fear.

Have you ever wondered why you struggle to show up as your unique "soul self" in relationships? We often trace our hiding back to past judgment or social media pressures, creating a 'persona' or mask.

But what if all those surface reasons are hiding a deeper reason? In this journal entry, I share my current thesis: our constant need for conditional love and security (in relationships, money, status) is a fear of death in disguise.

We’re afraid that showing our true self will jeopardize our safety net. This is the real reason we hide. When we find the courage to reveal ourselves, we realize the only thing we have to lose is conditional relationships, which are probably not worth hiding our eternal souls.
